The Peace-Cycle – Peacemaker S2

Director James Gunn wanted the bike to be an over-the-top homage to the 79 Captain America’s “Capcycle”. We also wanted to mix in there a nod to the Kamen Rider’s Cyclone, because we are big fans of that bike. The design was created around a Harley-Davidson FX Low Rider ST. It was tricky to balance the look, while still trying to maintain the ride-ability of the bike. But after half a dozen passes, this was the final design! This was such a blast to work on. I kinda cackled while designing this one.

This was my first collaboration with the wonderful production designer Kalina Ivanov. It has been such a pleasure working with her. Also shout out to Supervising Art Director Drew Monahan who called me up for this one specifically.

Fantastic work by the special effect team and vehicle team putting together this beast into reality. I also heard that James Gunn had this bike in his office for a time. So cool. So much fun! Cheers, everyone.
