Agatha's House Interior - Agatha All Along

One of the first sets I helped design for the MCU series. John Collins, the Production Designer, had a great direction for this set. He pointed me toward a layered space that accumulated a lot of stuff over time. A sort of vintage worn-in maximalist with a hint of neglect. Stacks of books, pictures on the wall, melted candles and stuff everywhere.
We tried to add a sense of character for Agatha/Agnes through the space…maybe the books are Agatha subconsciously searching for “power” or the "Darkhold" that she lost? Are the postcards places Agnes imagined she’d been to? We also injected some story elements with the “police case files” littered throughout the house that Agnes imagined she’d be working on as a detective.

Fun reference– The painting over the fireplace is “Macbeth and Three Witches” by Francesco Zuccarelli. A fun witchy easter egg.
