Agatha's Basement - Agatha All Along

Agatha’s Basement – Agatha All Along. This was a great scene from Ep 2. Who would have thought a witch’s basement is the shape of a pentagon? I thought it was a cool idea, and fun to work on. Zeke Waters, the set designer, did a great layout design of the space that I used to work on.

The attention to details was the key here. My focus was to bring out the vibe of the space using textures + set dressing. Old masonry wall with post + lintel contrasting against the “suburban” set dressing of household stuff, with added focus of the pentagon pattern on the floor, mirroring the ceiling, as an "entrance" to the Witches' Road.

As a nod to Agatha’s Purple and Rio’s Green, I sneaked in some purple + green elements in there among household stuff. John Collins thought it was a fun detail and wanted to run with that.
