-The New Mutants: Death in Winter-

These 3 keyframe concepts are the progression from the establishing shot I posted previously.
As we enter the reservation, we glide over the icy road and the frozen dead, realizing the doom hinted in the first painting. We discover there's been a massacre happened overnight.
I was asked by the Production Designer Molly Hughes to design a shot and two set concepts that are, in many ways, inspired by the great horror films of the 80s. Although out of my usual comfort zone, I learned a lot and really enjoyed the process.
Also snow is hard to do!
